Part of the CCCEP Lunchtime Seminar Series 2012-13

The Green Deal is the main Government Initiative promoting energy efficiency measures in homes and commercial premises.

Given the importance of these areas for carbon emissions, as well as the potential employment and carbon reduction outcomes of energy efficiency measures, the Green Deal will be critical for achieving national carbon reduction targets.

The seminar will outline the components of the Green Deal process, with an emphasis on the skills certification of installers element. Lessons will be drawn from previous examples of similar certification schemes.

The seminar will also examine the likely outcomes of the Green Deal and how it can be strengthened through improvements to the certification process.
