Visit by Professor David Mackay of the Department of Energy and Climate Change
The Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) recently hosted a visit by the Chief Scientific Advisor at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC)|, Professor David MacKay|.
Centre staff were joined by representatives from partner organisations, including the UK Energy Research Centre|, the Centre for Low Carbon Futures|, Quantum Strategy and Technology|, CO2Sense|and the Leeds City Region partnership|.
There were informal presentations and discussions about the work of the Centre and its partners, including CCCEP's work on business perspectives on investment and the transition to a low-carbon economy, and understanding the ways in which we can shape the costs and benefits of transitions at the city level.
