11 May: Reception and book launch of Professor Arthur Petersen's 'Simulating Nature'|

The Centre for the Analysis of Time Series (CATS) at LSE will be hosting a reception and book launch, on 23 May, of Arthur Petersen's book, 'Simulating Nature: a philosophical study of computer-simulation uncertainties and their role in climate science and policy advice' (second Edition). 3 May: Workshop on 'Financing Low Carbon Cities' co-hosted by CCCEP|

The Centre for Low Carbon Futures (CLCF) and the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) jointly held a workshop yesterday, hosted at Chatham House. Presentations were given by Professor Andy Gouldson| of the University of Leeds, Andy Deacon from the Energy Savings Trust, Christoph Harwood of Marksman Consulting and Emily Smith from the European Investment Bank.

24 February: Lord Nicholas Stern delivers three lectures on climate change and the New Industrial Revolution|

As part of the Lionel Robbins Memorial Lectures 2012, Nicholas Stern gave three lectures over three successive days (Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 February). Presentations of these lectures can now be downloaded.

9 January: New investment in low carbon could reduce the Leeds City Region's energy bill, cut emissions and produce social benefits|

This is according to a new study from the Centre for Low Carbon Futures. It shows that UK cities could cut their energy bills by billions, by exploiting commercially attractive opportunities in energy and carbon management. Lead author Professor Andy Gouldson, Director of CCCEP, said: "The business case for major scale investments in energy and carbon management is very strong."
