Ronan Bolton

Ronan has been based at the University of Leeds since October 2008. Previously a PhD student, he is now a Research Fellow at the School of Earth and Environment.
His area of interest is in the interdependencies between technical and institutional change in large-scale infrastructure networks. Specifically, he focuses on electricity and heating distribution networks in the UK, exploring how energy policies, regulatory regimes and actor strategies coevolve with emerging technical regimes to produce different sector level structures.

Ronan has a First degree in Mechanical Engineering (NUI Galway), and a
Masters Degree in Environmental Sustainability (University of Edinburgh).
