Michal Nachmany

Research student

Michal's PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) will explore the dynamics of climate change policy diffusion.

Background

Michal has an MA in Energy Policy and Management from the University of Haifa, Israel. She also has an LLB in Law and an MBA (specialising in finance) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Before joining LSE, Michal worked at the Energy and Environment team at the Samuel Neaman National Policy Research Institute in Israel. Among others, she has been on the professional advisory board for Israel's first national greenhouse gas mitigation plan.

Prior to that, Michal headed business intelligence projects for multinational companies in the private sector.

Research interests

  • Climate change policy diffusion;
  • Bounded rationality in the policy making process.
