Research student

Misato's research topic is on the role of trade in decarbonising global supply chains. This thesis aims to empirically evaluate embodied carbon in international trade, focusing on the heavy industrial sectors, and analyse embodied carbon flows from a supply chain perspective.

Background

Before joining CCCEP as a PhD student, Misato was a Research Assistant at the Electricity Policy Research Group (EPRG) in the Faculty of Economics, University of Cambridge.

Research interests

  • EU Emissions Trading Scheme allocation rules and market design;
  • Carbon pricing and impact on industrial competitiveness and carbon leakage;
  • Impact of carbon pricing on firms' behaviour and innovation.
