Sander van der Linden

Research student

Sander is a doctoral researcher in applied social and environmental psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Sander's research is concerned with the design and evaluation of behavioural interventions. Sander studies the psychological factors and conditions under which people are more likely to change their behaviour (ie in a more pro-social / pro-environmental manner). Part of his research deals with theories of dual-processing in the brain. He is particularly interested in how individuals process different types of stimuli (eg analytical versus experiential information) cognitively and emotionally and how both processes interact and mediate onto behaviour.

Background

Sander holds an MSc in Public Policy (specialising in Applied Social Psychology) from Maastricht University, The Netherlands. He also holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) degree from the HES School of Economics and Management, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and attended California State University (Chico). Before joining CCCEP, Sander worked for various NGOs and professional (consultancy) organisations.
