Elizabeth's project title is 'Assessing lessons from community-based natural resource management for the implementation of carbon sequestration schemes in Dryland Africa'.

Elizabeth has been based at the University of Leeds since October 2011.

Background

Elizabeth has an MSc Human Geography (Research) and BSc Environmental Policy, both at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Prior to her PhD, Elizabeth also volunteered with VSO in Nigeria as a Capacity Builder and consulted for an international environmental organisation.

Research interests

  • Climate change adaptation and natural resource management;
  • REDD+, deforestation and land degradation;
  • Alternative livelihoods and poverty eradication;
  • Governance and institutional structures for community empowerment and adaptation.
