Leanne is a third year PhD candidate in Environmental Economics. Leanne’s current research focuses on the mitigation of GHG emissions from meat consumption and her thesis will consider the role of international trade, culture, and social networks in the potential effectiveness government interventions such as a meat tax.

Background

Leanne majored in English literature during her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa and then came to the UK to do an MSc in Economics at the University of Warwick. She worked for a couple years in London as a steel market analyst at CRU International before coming to LSE for her PhD.
