Project 1a – Green Growth in Chinese Cities

Project staff: Andy Gouldson

Project update:

Basic data for the studies of Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin is now in place, a researcher from Leeds will be visiting Tsinnghua for 2 weeks in June to review everything and start to prepare the aggregated analysis and the final reports. Two papers have so far been prepared based on the work, the first has been published in Environmental Research Letters, the second is under review in Applied Energy. Once the analysis is finished the team will be focusing on more papers. This project also links closely with the EU-China DRAGON project where we have been expanding the territorial or production based approach to consider consumption-based carbon accounts and management plans for cities in the UK and China.

Further information on progress with this project will be provided shortly.
