Visit by Professor David Mackay of the Department of Energy and Climate Change

The Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) recently hosted a visit by the Chief Scientific Advisor at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), Professor David MacKay.

Centre staff were joined by representatives from partner organisations, including the UK Energy Research Centre, the Centre for Low Carbon Futures, Quantum Strategy and Technology, CO2Sense and the Leeds City Region partnership.

There were informal presentations and discussions about the work of the Centre and its partners, including CCCEP’s work on business perspectives on investment and the transition to a low-carbon economy, and understanding the ways in which we can shape the costs and benefits of transitions at the city level.
