Carla Jouavel

Carla is the Deputy Director at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre, a research centre embedded within Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. 

Carla is a Financial Analyst with over 13 years’ experience, having started her career in sell-side equities research at HSBC, she later focused on accounting advisory in relation to the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards for PLC’s. She has worked as Management Consultant to CFOs in the financial services sector during her time at KPMG. Much of her work focused on improving finance quality controls in the production of the Profit and Loss statement and advisory on incoming accounting Standards. Background

Carla has worked at HSBC Investment Bank Plc, BNP Paribas Investment Bank Plc, National Bank of Kuwait, KPMG, Inchcape Plc, Endeavour Mining Group, and Interserve Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Goldsmiths, University of London, and an MSc in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Carla also holds the CFA qualification.
