Jon’s research explores the intersection of climate change and social justice. It looks at the role that global environmental governance and financial instruments can play in transformation in social and economic systems. These themes are explored with reference to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in South Africa.
Prior to commencing his PhD, Jon worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and at the Commonwealth Secretariat in development finance with specific focus on the GCF and small island developing states.
Jon holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Oxford.
