Oliver Walker
Oliver joined the Grantham Research Institute as a Visiting Fellow in January 2014. His current work examines the impact of various forms of uncertainty on climate policy, regulation, and financial markets, with a particular emphasis on ambiguity (uncertainty over the correct probability distribution) and unawareness (the presence of unknown unknowns). This draws on recent developments in decision theory and experimental evidence on choice behaviour.
Background
Oliver holds a doctorate from the Economics Department at the University of Oxford, and has worked as a University Lecturer at Cambridge University, a post-doctoral researcher at the Grantham Research Institute, and a college lecturer at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He currently works as an economic consultant at NERA, and is the author of the Rough Guide to Economics, which is published in March 2014.
