Jody Harris

Critical factors affecting food security and food system resilience at the city scale.

Background

Jody has a BEng in Environmental Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia.  Prior to starting her PhD, Jody spent 10 years working in the field of sustainability and environmental management in the public and private sectors.

Most recently Jody worked as a sustainability consultant at the firm Arup, providing technical advice in the areas of sustainability strategy development, sustainability appraisal, environmental assessment, and carbon footprinting to UK and international clients.

Her project work spanned the public and private sectors and included commissions in the utilities, manufacturing, transport, housing, and construction sectors. She has also worked at the UK Environment Agency on flood risk management projects.  Jody is currently working within the School of Earth and Environment as a teaching assistant on MSc programmes in Sustainability and Consultancy, and Sustainability and Business.
