Eunjeong’s research focuses on how normative power, as exercised collectively by subnational and nonstate actors, shapes the behaviour of states in making their voluntary commitments towards global climate action.

Background

After early undergraduate and graduate studies in international relations and international development, Eunjeong worked on research on international environmental issues ranging from climate change to deforestation, in Germany, Thailand, Singapore, as well as her native South Korea.

In 2019, Eunjeong began her PhD in International Relations at the LSE on a PhD Studentship, after completing an MSc Environmental Policy and Regulation in the Department of Geography and Environment at the same institution.
