Nils Handler

Nils Handler is a visiting PhD research fellow at the Grantham Research Institute and has a keen interest in investigating policies aimed at decarbonising the economy and achieving the energy transition at least cost. More broadly he seeks to understand how our social contract needs to be recalibrated in the light of the emerging green growth paradigm.

Background

Nils is a development economist by training holding MSc degrees in Development Economics from the London School of Economics and the Barcelona School of Economics, as well as a BSc in International Economics from the University of Tuebingen. He has worked for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C. before starting his PhD at the Berlin School of Economics.
