Yang is a PhD candidate in Environmental Economics at LSE. His doctoral research seeks to better understand the roles played by climate policy, green innovation, and foreign direct investment in the low-carbon transition. He is also interested in exploring the unintended impacts of climate policies and their implications for policy design. Much of his policy research work focuses on China’s Emission Trading Scheme (ETS).

Background

Yang holds an MSc in Economics from Wuhan University, and a BA in Economics from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, China. He was a research assistant at the Grantham Research Institute.
