Marina Baldissera Pacchetti
Marina is a philosopher of science currently working with an interdisciplinary group on developing a framework for assessing quality of climate information for adaptation.
Background
Marina earned her PhD from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh and wrote her dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Robert Batterman. Before going to Pittsburgh, Marina completed an MSc in History and Philosophy of Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics at University College London.
Marina’s main interests lie at the intersection of the foundations of physical sciences, modeling of complex systems and the role of science in society:
