Drawing on the results from earlier research, this project seeks to inform the design and delivery of urban climate actions and their integration into related development strategies so that they are consistent with the ambitions of the Paris Agreement. The project features extensive engagement and impact activities, notably through the Leeds Climate Commission, and engagements with national and international fora to inform the development of urban climate actions. Research activities include work on innovative funding mechanisms, new approaches to policy, planning and governance and new forms of leadership and engagement for low-carbon, climate resilient urban development.
